
Maha Kumbh 2025 has begun from Monday (January 13) in Prayagraj, UP. It started with Shahi Snan in the morning. An amazing confluence of faith is being seen at the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati. By 8 am, 60 lakh people took a dip in the Sangam. A large number of foreign devotees have also reached Kumbh.
The bathing ghats built in 12 km area are full of devotees. From today itself, devotees will start 45 days of Kalpavas.
The saints of Juna Akhara took the first dip in the first royal bath of Maha Kumbh. According to tradition, the royal bath begins with the bath of saints and akhadas.
Naga sadhus of Juna Akhara reached the Sangam with a grand procession. After them, other major akhadas took bath sequentially. An atmosphere of discipline and enthusiasm was seen in the entire event. The devotees expressed their devotion by seeing this holy bath of the akhadas.
After this, there will be five more royal baths. Devotees will take bath on holy occasions like Makar Sankranti, Mauni Amavasya, Basant Panchami, Magh Purnima and Mahashivratri. The number of devotees is expected to increase on every bathing festival. These events are important from both religious and cultural point of view.
More than 40 crore devotees are expected to reach Maha Kumbh 2025 from all over the world. Lakhs of devotees have gathered on the banks of Sangam before the first royal bath.
There is a crowd of devotees on all the entry routes to Sangam. Entry of vehicles is closed due to Maha Kumbh. Devotees are reaching Sangam by walking 10-12 km from bus and railway station.
Foreign devotees are also taking a dip in the severe cold. A devotee from Brazil, said – I practice yoga. I am searching for salvation. India is the spiritual heart of the world. Jai Shri Ram.
60 thousand jawans are engaged in maintaining security and order. Police personnel are managing the crowd of lakhs through speakers. Commandos and paramilitary force personnel are also deployed at various places.

This time the Uttar Pradesh government has made special arrangements to make Mahakumbh grand. Rose petals will be showered on the devotees from helicopters.
The horticulture department has arranged 20 quintals of rose petals for every bathing festival. Kumbh Mela in-charge VK Singh said that the purpose of this initiative is to provide a divine and unforgettable experience to the devotees. The Sangam area will look more beautiful and spiritual with rose petals.
There is a provision of cheap helicopter ride for tourists. Helicopter ride has been arranged to give tourists the experience of the amazing views of Prayagraj. Earlier its fare was Rs 3,000, but now it has been reduced to Rs 1,296 per person.
This ride will last for 7-8 minutes, in which tourists will be able to see the grandeur of the Mahakumbh fair from the sky. Uttar Pradesh Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh said that this initiative has been taken to give a memorable experience to the tourists. The helicopter ride will not only attract tourists but will also increase the popularity of the fair.
