As temperatures drop and the chill sets in, the temptation to stay cozy and skip workouts grows. However, winter is an ideal time to focus on building strength, boosting immunity, and supporting overall well-being. &TV artist Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabhi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai) share her fitness routines to stay active, energized, and healthy throughout the colder months.
Shubhangi Atre, also known as Angoori Bhabhi from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, says, “Winter is about finding balance—staying active while nourishing your body from within. I start my day with yoga and pranayama (breathing exercises) to keep my body flexible and my mind calm.”
According to Shubhangi, Pranayama enhances her lung capacity and ensures better oxygen flow, which is especially important during winter when we tend to spend more time indoors.
The actress adds, “After yoga, I dedicate 20 minutes to light cardio or brisk walking to improve circulation and keep my metabolism in check. For mental well-being, I practice mindfulness and meditation daily, which helps me stay focused and stress-free despite my hectic schedule. My winter diet includes soups, stews, and warm dishes, and I avoid processed foods.
Shubhangi drinks plenty of water and warm herbal teas to nourish her skin and prevent dryness. “Winter can be tough, but with the right approach, it’s an opportunity to enhance both physical and mental health,” she adds.
