In a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government approved the establishment of 85 new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) and 28 Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVs) across the country. This significant move aims to enhance the quality of education in both rural and urban areas, offering excellent learning opportunities to a greater number of students.
11 Kendriya Vidyalayas for Madhya Pradesh: Madhya Pradesh got 11 Kendriya Vidyalayas – Ashok Nagar District Ashok Nagar, Nagda District Ujjain, Maihar District Satna, Tirodi District Balaghat, Barghat District Seoni, Niwari District Niwari, Khajuraho District Chhatarpur, Jhinjhari District Katni, Sabalgarh District Morena, Narsinghgarh District Rajgarh and Central Police Academy Kanhasaiya District Bhopal. The sixth KV will open in state capital Bhopal.
Thousands of Students to Benefit: Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted that the government will allocate Rs 5,872 crore for the Kendriya Vidyalayas and Rs 2,360 crore for the Navodaya Vidyalayas. This investment is expected to benefit approximately 82,560 students through KVs and 15,680 students through NVs. Additionally, the initiative is projected to generate employment for thousands of people.
Madhya Pradesh’s Current Scenario: Madhya Pradesh currently hosts 115 Kendriya Vidyalayas. With the addition of 11 new schools, the total will increase to 126. Bhopal, the state capital, will see the opening of its sixth Kendriya Vidyalaya, further enhancing educational opportunities in the region.
CM Expresses Gratitude: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed his appreciation for Prime Minister Modi’s decision, calling it a historic achievement for the state’s education sector. Sharing his thoughts on social media platform X, he stated:
“The approval of 85 new Kendriya Vidyalayas under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi will brighten the future of education. The 11 new schools in Madhya Pradesh will play a crucial role in shaping a new generation. Heartfelt thanks to PM Modi.”
