Dilip Joshi, who plays the beloved character Jethalal on the long-running television show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has firmly denied rumors of any conflict with the show’s producer, Asit Modi. Responding to recent media reports, Joshi clarified that claims of a heated altercation between him and Modi, including accusations of physical confrontation, are entirely false. Joshi attributes these rumors to individuals who are envious of the show’s continued success and joy it brings to viewers.
Recently there were media reports that Joshi and Asit Modi had clashed in August over a disagreement regarding leave. Dilip Joshi wanted to go on leave but the show producer was not responding to his request. Some reports even alleged that Joshi grabbed Asit Modi by the collar in frustration.
However, Joshi expressed deep disappointment with these fabrications. He said that the situation was misrepresented by individuals seeking to tarnish the show’s reputation. Dilip Joshi shared his distress over the negative portrayal of a show that has brought joy to millions and to him personally for many years.
“It’s disheartening to see such rumors circulating,” Joshi stated. “These reports are false, and I am saddened that such negativity is being spread. It’s not just frustrating for us; it’s unfair to the fans who support the show and feel disheartened by these baseless stories.”
Joshi has previously faced rumors regarding his departure from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, all of which he has similarly dismissed as untrue. Reflecting on this pattern of rumors, he explained that each new wave of speculation adds unnecessary stress to both the cast and their loyal audience.
“Every few weeks, a new story pops up, often aimed at casting Asit bhai in a negative light,” Joshi continued. “I sometimes wonder if it’s a case of jealousy over the show’s ongoing success. Regardless, I want our fans to know that I remain fully committed to this journey. I’m not leaving, and I continue to work on the show with the same dedication and affection as always.”
