National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Bhopal celebrated its 12th Convocation Ceremony for the Graduating Batch of 2024 recently. The event marked a significant milestone in the lives of students from the Masters in Fashion Management (MFM), Textile Design (TD) and Fashion & Lifestyle Accessory (F&LA) departments as they embarked on their professional journeys in the world of fashion and design.
The ceremony was graced by dignitaries, including IAS Manu Srivastava, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Power and Renewable Energy Department, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, as the Chief Guest, and IPS Pragya Srivastava, ADG of the Women Cell, as the Guest of Honor. The event was also graced by NIFT Registrar, Colonel Vikram Lakhan Pal, and special alumni guest Abhijeet Banik, who contributed their insights into the evolving fashion industry.
The ceremony was opened with an address by NIFT Bhopal’s Director, Lt. Col. Ashish Agarwal, who congratulated the students on their achievements and encouraged them to carry forward the legacy of excellence that NIFT is known for.
In his address, Chief Guest IAS Manu Srivastava emphasized that like every great thing, the journey of success begins with a single idea, fueled by faith and hard work. He inspired the graduates to believe in their visions and persistently work towards turning them into reality, highlighting the importance of perseverance and dedication as they step into the professional world.
During the convocation, degrees were awarded to the graduates, along with several special recognitions. Priya Bhandari was honored for the Best Graduation Project in Marketing Merchandise, while Vanshika received the award for Best Graduation Project in International Business. Ms. Akshaya was recognized for the Best Graduation Project in Entrepreneurship and also achieved Best Academic Performance in Fashion Management. Additionally, Vanshika, Bhaviya, and Akshaya secured the top meritorious ranks in the MFM program.
In the Fashion & Lifestyle Accessory department, Riya Chadwani stood out with the Best Graduation Project and received the Exemplary Design Award, while Riya Gupta was acknowledged for creating a Commercially Viable Design. Aditya Oikari and Neeraj Kirar earned top ranks for their meritorious performance, with Sakshi Vikas Kumbre being recognized for Best Academic Performance in the department.
The Textile Design department saw Ishali Rajendra, Ishali Pandey, Ms. Alfia Parveen Siddhiki, and Shravani Dhumane leading with their outstanding Graduation Projects. Rishika Gupta and Ritika Maheshwari earned the top two meritorious ranks, with Shravani Dhumane also receiving the Best Academic Performance award in the department.
Furthermore, the NIFT Best Academic Awards were presented to Shravani Dhumane, while Shreya Gharwal was honored with the NIFT Extraordinary Service Award. Ritika Maheshwari was named Student of the Year, celebrating her all-around excellence.
